Diptesh Bhattacharya, a young and brilliant Indian Sarod player from Kolkata, has become a regular visitor to Skye over the past few years.

Diptesh started training ath the incredible age of three in Classical Vocal under his mother Mrs. Bansari Bhattacharya. At the age of ten, he fell in love with the instrument Sarod and initiated his training under Aloke Lahiri.
He is joined by Sanjib Kumar Pal, is a well-established tabla player also based in Kolkata and known for his balanced and clear accompaniment to vocal and instrumental music.
They are joined by Nandan Roy for an evening of Indian classical music, which includes some informal explanations of the form and style.
