The Edinburgh University Music Society is widely regarded as one of Scotland’s leading student music organisations, not only for its standard of performance but also its involvement within the wider community through education projects and fundraising concerts.
Tonight a group of 50 orchestra members and singers make their first visit to Skye.

The Orchestra will play:
Beethoven – Coriolan overture
Faure – Pavane (with chorus)
Rossini – Barber of Seville overture
Berlioz – Hungarian March from The Damnation of Faust
Berlioz- March to the Scaffold (from Symphony Fantastique) 

The Choir will sing:
Mozart – Laudate Dominum (from Vespers)
Mendelssohn – Baal we cry to thee (from Elijah)
Stanford – The Blue Bird
Rutter – For the beauty of the earth
Wagner – Bridal march (from Lohengrin)
Vivaldi – Gloria (from Gloria)
Rachmaninoff – Bogoroditse Devo (from Vespers)
