‘Eliza Ross’s Raasay’ A Symposium
A FREE event

The Musica Scotica Trust has recently published in edited form The Elizabeth Ross Manuscript: Original Highland Airs Collected at Raasay in 1812. The afternoon symposium will provide a relaxed and interactive opportunity to explore Original Highland Airs’ wide potential as a resource for Highlands and Islands music. New and seasoned musicians alike, across a range of instruments, are warmly welcome!
This is sponsored by MUSICA SCOTICA, the ROYAL CONSERVATOIRE OF SCOTLAND and SABHAL MOR OSTAIG.
The afternoon will encourage the use of the edition by singers, instrumentalists, composers and researchers by means of a combination of introductory talks on the manuscript’s context, contents and editorial history and seminars led by the recitalists.
