Anne Martin and Jason Singh with ‘Roots’

A World Premier. A Gaelic-Indian commission for Hull’s City of Culture. Fresh from its launch in Hull’s City of Culture programme and on its way to London’s Southbank, tonight’s show is a remarkable coup for SEALL with which to launch the Skye Festival.

Anne Martin, Skye’s celebrated Gaelic singer and Manchester sound sculptor Jason Singh, present Routes; a layering of contemporary music for Anne’s traditional Gaelic song. The project is a collaboration between Anne & Jason with well known Indian musicians Sharat Chandra Srivastava and Gyan Singh, who will also be performing on the night.

Taisbeanadh Gàidhlig-Innseanach airson Hull – Prìomh Bhaile a’ Chultair – a tha air duaisean ealain a chosnadh.
An dèidh a thaisbeanadh an toiseach ann an Hull an lùib prògram Prìomh Bhaile a’ Chultair agus Southbank ann an Lunnainn, tha sinn air leth fortanach gu bheil a’ chuirm seo a’dol a bhith againn. Tha an seinneadair cliùiteach, Anna Mhàrtainn, à Cille Mhoire agus an neach-ealain fuaime, Jason Singh, à Manchester, a’ toirt Roots thugainn: measgachadh ealanta de dh’òrain Ghàidhlig cuide ri ceòl le luchd-ciùil ainmeil
Innseanach Sharat Chandra Srivastava agus Gyan Singh.
Adults £15, Students £13, Young People £8, Under 10s £0,  SEALL Members £13, Season Tickets £0
