Most of our performances take place at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig and occasionally at other venues in Sleat. All are on the A851 which runs between Broadford and Armadale in the south of the Isle of Skye. Directions are below.
For events at Broadford Hall: If you are coming from the Skye Bridge, the hall is just before you reach the first shops in Broadford – it is a white building above the road on the left past the Serpentarium. If you are coming from Portree direction, it is on the right, past the Dunollie Hotel.
Warning – If you are coming by road, switch off your SATNAV system and use a MAP – otherwise we guarantee you will land up in Mallaig with no ferry, or being led completely up the glen. If you have to, our postcode is IV45 8RQ – but you have been warned!
By Road – from Broadford
Turn onto the A851 just south east of Broadford. From there, count 13 miles. If the venue is Sabhal Mòr Ostaig (TDC), there will be a roadside sign at the entrance to Sabhal Mòr Ostaig on the left, telling you to turn down there, or to carry on to Talla Mhòr, another 300 metres on the right.
By Road – from Armadale or Ardvasar
Head towards Broadford on the A851. Talla Mhòr, Sabhal Mòr Ostaig (SMO) is around 2 miles from Armadale on your left and TDC, which is the main building of Sabhal Mòr Ostaig (SMO) is a little further up on your right.
You will see A Boards outside the venue where the performance is taking place.
By Road – from further afield
If you come from Edinburgh, via the A9 and Dalwhinnie, it is approximately 230 miles from the Forth Road Bridge to the venue.
If you come from Glasgow, via the A82 and Loch Lomond, it is approximately 210 miles from Glasgow to the venue.
If you come from Inverness via the A82 and Invermoriston, or via the A832 and Achnasheen, it is around 100 miles to the venue.
The Skye Bridge

You will need to book your vehicle in mid-summer and check in 30 minutes before departure. The journey takes 35 minutes. The summer ferry runs 6 times a day from around 9 am to 6 pm. The winter ferry has an early morning and late afternoon service, 6 days a week and only late afternoon on Sunday.
