“The SEALL Festival of Small Halls proudly returns for its 6th year in November 2023. This year, we will once again bring some of the country’s top musicians to some of the best wee venues around Skye & Lochalsh. The 2023 lineup has been developed to bring breadth of style, tradition and quality to the events, ensuring this will be a festival to remember.

Renowned Uilleann piper and singer Jarlath Henderson returns in 2023, as does cellist and vocalist Hannah Moule. Murdo Cameron, mandola and accordion player with Daimh and Fras, and accordionist Megan Macdonald of Eabhal and Heisk join for this year’s festival, as does new addition Eilidh MacKenzie. We’ll also be welcoming Project Smok piper, whistle-player, and BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician award winner in 2020, Ali Levack to this years festival. On fiddles, ‘Scottish Music Specialist’ and 2016/17 Scots Singer of the Year Lori Watson, and the unmistakable and recently appointed head of Plockton Music School, Mike Vass complete the lineup, bringing together the stellar lineup of musicians for this year’s SEALL Festival of Small Halls.”

“Tha sinn glè mhoiteil gun tillidh Fèis nan Tallachan Beaga air ais le SEALL airson an 6mh bliadhna, an t-Samhain-se, 2023. Mar as tric, tha a’ phrògram againn loma-làn ealantas, le ceòladairean as fhèarr nar dùthcha am broinn, a’ tighinn chòmhla gus cuirmean-chiùil a thogail anns na tallaichean beaga air feadh na h-Eilein Sgitheanach, is Caol Loch Aillse. Chaidh na ceòladairean a thogail leinn gus feart laidir is farsaingneach a thoirt gu na cuirmean againn. Tha iad làn ealantas is tradiseanan bho iomadh gnè-chiùil, is tha sinn cinnteach gum bi fèis, is prògram sònraichte air an togail leotha am bliadhna-sa. Am broinn ar sgioba, tha sinn beannaichte fàilte a chur gu pìopare is seinneadair ainmeil Jarlath Henderson, is cuideachd gu neach-cello is seinneadair Hannah Moule. Bidh Murchadh Camshroin bho Dàimh is Fras comhla rinn air a’ bhogsa is am Mandola, is cuideachd Megan NicDhomhnaill (Heisk, Eabhal) air a’ bhogsa, is Ingrid Henderson air a’ chlarsach, piano, is a’ seinn. Barrachd air sin, chìthear Ali Levack, is esan a bhuainnich “BBC RADIO na h-Alba, Young Traditional Musician Award” ann an 2020. Air na fìdhlean tha sinn a’ deanamh fiughair ri Lori Watson (bhuainniche “seinneadair Albais na bliadhna 2016/17”, is sar-eòlaiche ceòl-Albais), is Mike Vass, stùiriche ùr Sgoil Chiùil na Ghàidhealtachd fhaicinn. Is còmhla riuthasan, tha nar reultan co-thaobhaichte, is tha e do-sheachainte gum bi Fèis nan Tallachan Beaga 2023 àraid ann le cinnt.
