SEALL’s aim is to reduce isolation in our geographically remote communities, bringing the arts to our communities so they don’t have to come to us.
Our high quality arts provision serves the Skye, Raasay and Lochalsh area.
Our Place
Portree, Dunvegan, Broadford, Kyleakin, Braes, Skeabost, Sligachan, Glendale, Waternish, Edinbane, Armadale, Isle Ornsay, Tarskavaig, Staffin, Flodigarry, Uig, Elgol, Torrin, Kylerhea and Carbost are towns and villages on the Isle of Skye and on the mainland they are joined over the bridge by Kyle of Lochalsh. Just a short ferry ride away from Skye is the Isle of Raasay.
Our Language
SEALL celebrates the Scottish Gaelic language by providing performances and workshops to showcase the talent and vitality of the Gaelic language and community. One of our newest ventures launched in 2024 is Jam Bus, a roaming music session led by young Gaelic speaking musicians.
SEALL have a designated Gaelic Officer and Gaelic language policy and as a beacon for arts in Gaelic, we work to pass down knowledge, interlink generations and encourage accessibility and inclusivity for all.
We work with partners such as Sabhal Mòr Ostaig to build ties further afield within a larger network.
Based in Sleat in the Isle of Skye, Sabhal Mòr Ostaig is the only centre of Higher and Further Education in the world that provides its learning programmes entirely through the medium of Gaelic in an immersive, language-rich environment.

Skye, Raasay and Lochalsh are dotted with beloved small halls, distilleries and larger venues. SEALL transform these spaces into first class arts venues each with their own distinct identity and community, bringing top arts practitioners onto our stages and creating events at a range of prices to suit all.

This area is well known as one of the most stunning parts of Scotland with iconic landmarks and a worldwide tourism audience.
