On 23 September, SEALL put on an online concert and fundraiser showcasing the musicians who have been involved in our SEALL@Home project. This concert, which was put together by talented local musicians, Iseabail Strachan, gives a flavour of what we have been doing to bring music sessions to some of the most isolated members of our communities. The entertaiment features Small Halls musicians Innes Watson, Su-a-Lee and Hamish Napier, as well as local singer Anna Mhartainn, the multi-talented MacKenzie Family (pictured), John and Kate Masson and Ceitidh Douglas of Sheepshank Beag, father and daughter duo Donald and Lucy Livingstone, piper and fiddler Malin Lewis and box and banjo player Iseabail Strachan. Many of the performances were recorded at Talla Bhreacais after the easing of lockdown restrictions. In the video, there is some chat from the musicians, from Marie Lewis, SEALL’s Creative Director, and from some of the participants who have enjoyed the Zoom concerts. This concert features a fantastic variety of music, from Gaelic songs to Bach, moving slow airs to lively ceilidh tunes and a few musical surprises along the way. We warmly welcome donations via our Just Giving page. Your generosity will go along way towards the work of SEALL@Home well into the future.
