Just announced SEALL Presents Sian at An Crùbh on Wednesday 4 Jun and Isle of Raasay Distillery on Thursday 5 Jun. Originally brought together by the Blas festival in 2016, to celebrate the work of female bards, Sian comprises three of today’s most exquisitely gifted young Gaelic singers – Ceitlin Lilidh, Eilidh Cormack and Ellen MacDonald –accompanied by in-demand multi-instrumentalist (and fellow Gaelic speaker) Innes White. With direct connections among the singers to Lewis, Skye and North Uist, their arrangements match deep feeling for tradition with stunning, boldly imaginative harmony work, which has seen them likened to The Staves and even Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. Their self-titled debut album, produced by Donald Shaw, was released in 2020.
Last but definitely not least – due to popular demand SEALL presents a new matinee show for Duncan Chisholm and Hamish Napier. This slightly shorter and family friendly event will suit those who prefer an earlier outing or those who just can’t get enough! The evening event is now sold out so this is a great chance too if you missed out on tickets. Join us at An Crùbh on Saturday 14 June 3-5pm.
