In case you hadn’t heard … The Swarm is coming!

A swarm of bees and flowers will be parading their way into Kyleakin Hall as part of this summer’s Fèis An Eilein Family Fun Day and Giant Puppet Parade.

Here comes the best part – you get to help make the puppets! Once again, the brilliant Vision Mechanics will guide a series of family puppet making workshops in the lead up week Mon 7 – Fri 11 July.

Continuing the theme of Bees and Flowers (Interconnectivity and Sustainability), we also have three brand new workshops this year!

Alive In A Hive – an exploration of what goes on inside a hive and the day to day life of a honey bee. Audrey Sinclair as part of the Lochalsh Bee Keeping society will be doing a talk all about bee hives with an actual hive as a prop!

Bike repair and Safety with Skye Mountain Bike Adventure Society - Bike maintenance and road safety – open to all ages! We all want to feel safe when cycling and Iain from Skye Mountain Bike Adventures is very kindly coming in to offer free workshops on bike maintenance and road safety. Bring your bike and learn how to do tune ups properly and then listen to wise words on road safety from the man himself so you can feel confident on those roads.
